Project overview

Perth School of Reflexology (PSOR) is the only specific reflexology training school in Western Australia.  The school offers face‑to‑face and online courses in reflexology, enabling students to launch careers as professional reflexologists.  In 2020 PSOR engaged PrimeSites Digital to redesign its website, migrating to a flexible Divi/WordPress platform that could support course catalogues, enrolment forms, testimonials and ecommerce features.

Client overview

PSOR’s trainers are highly qualified educators with over forty years of clinical reflexology experience.  The school provides professional and up‑to‑date training recognised by the Reflexology Association of Australia  and emphasises personal mentorship, business planning and family‑friendly schedules.  Principal Hollie Ann Kelly has been practising reflexology since 1992 and holds various qualifications and leadership roles within the association.

Industry context

Reflexology is a holistic, non‑invasive therapy in which practitioners apply pressure to reflex points on the feet, hands and ears to address imbalances.  Education and accreditation are critical to ensuring practitioners deliver safe, effective treatments.  PSOR fills a niche by offering comprehensive training programs and nationally recognised qualifications in reflexology.  Many students seek flexible schedules, supportive mentorship and practical business skills, which the school provides.

Website goals

  1. Promote PSOR’s unique position – Emphasise that PSOR is Western Australia’s only dedicated reflexology training school  and highlight the depth of experience of its trainers.
  2. Simplify course enrolment – Provide clear access to course pages with detailed outlines and enrol buttons.
  3. Build trust and credibility – Showcase testimonials from graduates  and the principal’s biography.
  4. Optimise for performance and mobile – Ensure fast loading and a seamless experience on smartphones and tablets.
  5. Support ongoing marketing – Integrate newsletter sign‑ups , CRM connections and analytics for continuous improvement.

Services provided

PrimeSites delivered a full suite of services for PSOR:

  • Strategic planning:  Discovery sessions to understand PSOR’s audience, course structure and business goals.
  • Design & development:  Custom Divi child theme, course templates, online shop for resources, responsive design and accessible navigation.
  • WooCommerce integration:  Setup of an ecommerce store for reflexology charts and other materials; configuration of payment gateways and shipping options.
  • Performance & security:  Caching, image optimisation, server tuning, SSL installation and Cloudflare CDN.
  • Schema & SEO:  Implementation of structured data for courses, services, reviews and organisation details; optimisation of page titles, headings and meta descriptions.
  • Ongoing support:  Hosting, maintenance, updates, analytics reporting and quarterly strategy sessions.

Technical highlights

  • Dynamic course pages:  Each course page features a custom layout with a course overview, outline, fee information, image gallery and enrol button.  Divi’s reusable modules make it easy for the PSOR team to update content.
  • Ecommerce store:  WooCommerce is used to sell reflexology charts and resource materials.  Customers can purchase digital downloads or physical products.
  • Flexible forms:  Contact, enrolment and newsletter forms are built using Divi and integrated with PSOR’s mail provider, capturing leads directly into the CRM.
  • Schema injection:  Custom PHP extends Yoast’s schema to include Service, Organization, Review and Person nodes, improving search visibility and AI understanding (see Part 1).  The schema accurately reflects on‑page content and relationships.
  • Performance monitoring:  Google Analytics and PageSpeed Insights are used to track user behaviour and performance metrics, guiding ongoing improvements.

UX/mobile/performance improvements

The new site loads quickly and adapts gracefully to different screen sizes.  The mobile menu collapses neatly and includes key calls‑to‑action such as “Enrol” and “Contact.”  Course pages and forms are fully responsive, and images are served in optimised WebP format.  Visitors no longer encounter long load times or confusing navigation.

Long‑term support relationship

PrimeSites continues to provide hosting and maintenance services for PSOR, including plugin updates, backups, security monitoring and performance tuning.  We consult quarterly to review analytics, refine SEO strategies and plan new features.  As PSOR launches new courses and resources, they rely on our team for implementation and marketing guidance.

Local relevance

PSOR is based in Warwick, WA and serves students throughout Perth and regional Western Australia.  The site uses local SEO signals, including the suburb and state, in page copy, meta tags and schema.  The partnership page emphasises the school’s commitment to the local community and acknowledges the support from the Reflexology Association of Australia.

Operational complexity and integrations

The project required coordinating course schedules, e‑commerce functionality, email marketing, CRM integration and membership features.  Custom WordPress development was needed to integrate course modules with WooCommerce and ensure performance optimisation did not conflict with dynamic content.  Regular testing and collaboration with the PSOR team ensured that forms, shop functions and analytics tracking worked reliably.

SEO/performance work

PrimeSites conducted keyword research around reflexology training, reflexology courses and holistic therapy education.  Page titles, headings and meta descriptions were optimised accordingly.  Structured data was added using Yoast filters and custom functions.  Performance improvements included server‑side caching, Cloudflare configuration, script minification and image optimisation.  These changes improved Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed scores.
