Search Engine Optimisation
We never make any guarantees to clients about where their website will rank on Google or other search engines.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and how effectively the website ranks on search engines depends on a combination of things.
Here are some simple tips and ideas to help boost your organic ranking.
Content / Text
One of the primary factors is the actual content/text on the site and here are some of the most important factors to keep in mind:
Incorporate key phases that you hope to rank for into the content.
- Decide what phrases you would like to rank for and then use these phrases verbatim in the content throughout the site – more than once.
- Add these phrases into the tagline on the home page, headings, sub-headings and also in the text on the website.
The quality of the content/text on your site is important too. All content must be authentic, current and useful.
Internal And External Links On Your Site
Links are one of the largest factors that determine how well a website ranks.
Internal Links
An internal link on a website is a hyperlink that connects one page of the website to another page within the same domain.
For example ‘Call to action’ buttons to send customers to various other places on the site (i.e. ‘Contact us for a quote’, ‘Find out more’, etc.)
External Links
An external link on a website is a hyperlink that directs users from a page on one domain to a page on a different domain.
For example links to:
- Other websites where you/your business are mentioned (i.e. press releases about your business, articles about you/your business)
- Suppliers that stock your products
- Relevant articles/website
Blog Posts
Blog posts are important for SEO on a website because they provide fresh, relevant content that search engines favor when ranking pages.
Regularly updated blogs signal to search engines that the site is active, which can positively impact its ranking.
High-quality blog content that incorporates targeted keywords naturally helps improve the site’s visibility for those search terms, driving organic traffic. Additionally, well-written blog posts can attract backlinks from other websites, which are valuable for SEO as they indicate the site’s authority and relevance.
Blog posts also enhance user engagement and time spent on the site, which are important metrics for SEO. Engaging and informative content encourages visitors to stay longer, explore more pages, and potentially convert into customers.
By addressing common questions and providing valuable insights, blog posts can improve the user experience and build trust with the audience. This not only helps in retaining visitors but also increases the likelihood of social sharing, further amplifying the site’s reach and authority.

Google Analytics
Many people like to see how many people visit their site on a day-to-day basis, and traffic monitoring is required to enable that. There are a number of ways to incorporate monitoring on your site.
Google Analytics is a powerful web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic, providing detailed insights into user behavior, site performance, and marketing effectiveness.
It allows businesses to understand how visitors interact with their website, including which pages they visit, how long they stay, and what actions they take. This data is crucial for optimising the user experience, improving content, and making informed decisions about marketing strategies.
By identifying trends and patterns, businesses can tailor their efforts to meet their audience’s needs, ultimately driving more traffic, increasing conversions, and enhancing overall online performance.
